The Presbytery of Lothian and Borders has given permission to call a Minister to the charge of Jedburgh and Oxnam linked with Ale and Teviot.
The Nominating Committee is made up of 8 members from Jedburgh and Oxnam and 5 from Ale and Teviot.
Following a secret ballot of elders at both Jedburgh and Oxnam and Ale and Teviot United, the majority view was that the appointment of a minister who was in a same-sex partnership would be considered.
