WALKING GROUP

The walking group meets in the church car park every Tuesday, setting off at 1.30 pm.

Our afternoon walks are usually around 5/6 miles, but in summer we have days away when we take a packed lunch and go further afield, walking around 10/12 miles.

Walking boots are advised as some of the routes can be muddy.  Fun and friendship are at the heart of our group, and we are always pleased to welcome new members.

GUILD

“Whose We Are and Whom We Serve”    (Acts 27:23)

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

The programme for Guild meetings includes speakers, local and national, and activities on the current national Guild Strategy and Theme, which are respectively Let Us Build A House (2024-2027), and Sure Foundations (2024-2025).
And there is always time for socialising over a cuppa!  You will be made very welcome at any of the Guild’s meetings!

We meet on the 1st Monday of each month from September to May at 2 pm in the Kenmore Hall.

We raise funds to support the 4 current Guild Projects:  https://www.churchofscotland.org.uk/get-involved/the-guild/projects;  and with support from the congregations we also fill shoeboxes at Christmas for Blythswood Care: www.blythswood.org.uk

A highlight of the year is the World Day of Prayer;  hosting on a rota, we share the international service of worship with the other churches in the town.  http://www.wdpscotland.org.uk/
